The I’ll Fly Away Foundation Announces Oak Ridge Boys Official Press Meet and Greet at Shindig
Saturday, October 13th Event – 6:45pm
Rogers, Arkansas…..October 8, 2012….The I’ll Fly Away Foundation will celebrate 80 years of the world’s most celebrated Gospel song of all time, “I’ll Fly Away” with the first annual “Shindig” featuring multi-platinum and Grammy winning recording artist The Oak Ridge Boys along with Daily & Vincent and the Blackwood Brothers Quartet. The music event will take place on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the John Q Hammons Center at 3303 Pinnacle Hills Parkway in Rogers, Arkansas. Music starts at 7:00 pm.
Duane Allen and Richard Sterban of The Oak Ridge Boys will meet press in advance of their performance on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 6:45pm in the Ambassador A & B rooms of the John Q Hammons Center in Rogers, AR. Media is encouraged to attend for this exclusive media event. Both Allen and Sterban will be available for interviews and on-site video and photography prior to their performance at this press event only. Jamie Dailey & Darrin Vincent of Dailey & Vincent and Jimmy Blackwood of the Blackwood Brothers will also attend. Confirmed press is then invited to attend the concert. Betsy Brumley will also be on hand to answer any questions about the I’ll Fly Away Foundation.
“The Shindig” is one of the foundations most important fundraising events of the year raising very important proceeds to support music scholarships. The I’ll Fly Away Foundation hopes to raise enough funds to provide 25 students scholarships in 2013.
