The centerpiece of the program is the fundamentals of songwriting including rhyme and phrasing led by a professional songwriter who teaches the students. Afterwards the class works as a team to write songs using the school’s current subject curriculum or social problems as advised by the educators. Songwriting has proven to enable students to have a better understanding of challenges in the classroom and their outside environments.
