Event Description: The mission of the songwriter’s studio is to teach the fundamentals of songwriting. In this two (2) hour class, you will learn how to write a song by understanding the flow of words. You will learn the fundamentals of songwriting. You will learn rhyme scheme, phrasing, line beats, chorus and verse. By them end of class you will have composed a song as a group applying what you have learned in the class.


About Alaska & Madi – Alaska and Madi met when they each joined a group called Oklahoma Kids, a division of American Kids. They were 12 & 11 when the director put them together to sing a duet and they have been singing together ever since. They won many categories in the American Kids National competitions over the years, including the “National Performers of the Year” in 2011. They have performed at many theatres in Branson, Mo. including Clay Cooper, Hamner-Barber, 3 Redneck Tenors and Legends.

Alaska & Madi

Alaska graduated from Broken Arrow High School in 2013. She was in Show Choir, Jazz Choir, and advanced drama with a solo part in Show Choir and the role of Leisl in the senior production of “The Sound of Music.”
Madi graduated from Jenks High School in 2013. She was in Show Choir, and All State Choir & All State Jazz Choir. She had a solo in the Show Choir and played the part of Muzzy in the senior production of “Thoroughly Modern Millie.”
After graduating the Duo decided to audition for “The Voice”. From an “open call”audition in Austin, TX, they were invited to go to Hollywood for the Blind Auditions, where they turned the chairs of Maroon Five’s Adam Levine and Oklahoma’s own Blake Shelton. They picked Team Blake and where mentored by The Band Perry. As Alaska and Madi continue to pursue a career in Country Music they have had the honor to work with country greats Roy Clark, Jana Jae, and The Tulsa Playboys, and shared the stage with super star and hometown girl Kristin Chenoweth. They stay busy writing, recording, performing and meeting their many fans as they press forward with their dreams.
